Microsoft Surface Computing

The new Microsoft Surface Computing that is fully operated by fingers. No mouse or keyboard.

www.gearlive.com – We gave you a look at the Microsoft Courier tablet device, and now we bring you a video where Microsoft gives you a look at a few ways they think you’ll use the device. Impressive, and we are definitely hoping this thing ends up being all it appears to be in these videos.

    @ButtomFACE
    True. But if you look at the date, this video was posted 2 years ago.
    iPad wasn’t released or announced to the public at the time.

  3. ButtomFACE says:

    You can you that stuff on you iPad. Hahahahahahahahah!

  4. GrandMasterTaft says:

    beware of these pricks – they make it so easy to set up an account, ie. xbox live where they charge you monthly – but you cannot cancel the account… They are purposely trying to fuck their customers! Fuck you microsoft, i was a good customer before this – ill never support your products again. Cunts!

  5. oliver18754 says:

    Compared to the $12,500 and $15,000 price range.

  6. oliver18754 says:

    The cost, $5,000 to $10,000 is preety reasonable.

  7. TheTechAdmin says:

    I hope they choose to go with the Apple Surface technology. The response is so much faster than this.

    apple doesn’t have shit on MS!

  13. YewY says:

    Not really. Project Natal is more like motion sensing, not touch sensing… a bit like an advanced stage of Eye Toy for PS2.

  14. digimonfan81 says:

  19. aquabest says:

    now we need to be cautious of what we shoot with our camera. Placing it on the surface coffee table might spill some beans of embarassment.

  22. JorgeFnl says:

    Don’t you think Apple isn’t working on something like this? Since the beginning of computers Apple have always been one step above Microsoft. But because Bill Gates have played a smart game, most of the people are using Windows now.

  28. YTMrVulcan says:

    @arfanzubiTV “iShit”? Apple has nothing by that name. I know you mean something else, but it would be clearer what you mean if you’d use the proper name.

  29. adobePC says:

    It does look better than the iPad. If it has HDMI and a USB port it might kick some ass.

  30. DZNV says:

    I dont know eva

  31. dielan44 says:

    @arfanzubiTV which they cancelled

  32. arfanzubiTV says:

    This device has much more potential than Apple’s iShit. Too pity that Microsoft cancelled this project it was a really good idea.

    But as a consolation they developed Microsoft KIN xD

  33. dielan44 says:

    @qfopro they cancelled it… :(
    it was such a good idea…

  34. PookDaWook says:

    Hi everyone. I’m sorry to say that Microsoft has announced that they are no longer making / designing this product. I really couldn’t see why. I think that just about everyone in thier right mind would prefer this to windows mobile seven series.

    do not worry! for the modical price of $999.99 you can get the left handeds edition!

    or download a crack to swap upside down both screens and then turn the courier 180 degrees and THA DAAA!

    whatever you do, microsoft will not care

  44. Magic4Real312 says:

    Uhm, I’m left handed

  45. DrewDNinja says:

    I wonder if I can take notes on it. Kinda like a notebook and agenda replacement also to do essays and other school/work related stuff… not just sneakers and fashion things like all the Courier vids show.

  48. ArchedBishop says:

    so it is an electronic organizer/journal that happens to go on the internet?
    The iPad does more then that.

  49. dmcpeak1 says:

    I want this NOW!!!

  50. Callaz3 says:

    @h4x0y I agree, but I think it would need a professional use if it is to have any longevity in this current format (as Microsoft are trying to drive towards in this video). The main problem is I can’t see many parents wanting their children to be left alone in the back seat of the car with an iPad! Like the iTouch I think the fact it is not free standing is particularly annoying – people simply will not want to hold a device for 2 hours whilst they watch a film.
